What is a Woman's True Worth
After watching such reality shows such as Flavors of Love, Real Chance of Love, Rock of Love, and For the Love of Ray J it got me wondering if these females on these shows have any self worth. The woman on these programs I feel lose themselves and if they are not embarrass for themselves well I am embarrass for them. How can they feel like they are setting examples for others and being degraded and treated as nothing more than an object rather than an equal or even human. Some just go for that 15 minutes of fame but at what cost. Watching those shows are yes good entertainment but also a bit of motivation to become better than that and know your worth. I was always was taught that material things such as clothes, cars, and homes have a price but a person has no cost which make them priceless. Having the right attitude and self esteem defines your true worth.

Have you noticed that some of the same women move from reality show to reality show? It's their job and we are helping them keep it if we continue to watch.
ReplyDeleteBut what does this say about gender roles and the priorities we place on fame (or exposure) at any cost? Are we 'prudes' if we disapprove; are we condoning this type of behavior if we enjoy watching? How do we tease meaning out of the absurd!
